Some first graders still struggle with controlling the mouse. Therefore, some time is spent in the computer lab on navigation skills, or mouse control. While Touch Screen Technology is commonplace, navigating the computer using the mouse is still a viable skill and mouse control is needed in order to successfully navigate computers, software, and web-based programs in the computer lab and in the classroom.
